First of the last words of Christ, which the voices of the Rheinische Kapelle address to us like shooting an arrow. Our entire humanity, concentrated, becomes the target. Otherwise, it would not be worth it for tongues to loosen to express the unspeakable. The voices, whose amplitude allows us to hear the depths from which they come, project to us the tightrope on which the entire oratorio will then advance – we will be dizzy, but we will cross. The voices as both line and safety rope.

Founded in 2001 by tenor Benoît Haller, La Chapelle Rhénane is an ensemble of solo singers and instrumentalists. The team is devoted to the interpretation of the great works of the European vocal repertoire. Its ambition is, through concerts and recordings, to reveal the emotion, humanity and modernity in these works capable of seducing a large contemporary audience.
